The Beinan Culture reflects cultural and material exchanges not only within the Taiwanese archipelago, but also between Taiwan and other cultures in Southeast Asia. A wide range of artifacts has been discovered at the site — including pottery, stone tools, stone coffins, and most notably, jade ornaments that have drawn significant attention from researchers. The National Museum of Prehistory in Taiwan was established specifically to preserve and promote this cultural heritage.
